Inaburra is very grateful for the recognition of its Mandarin program by the Leading 21st Century Schools Program. Our principal, Dr. Burgis has been invited to present the Inaburra model at the National Forum to be held in Canberra in August this year. The Prime Minister is expected to attend. Inaburra is one of sixteen schools selected nationally to be showcased as ‘lighthouse schools' in the introduction of an Asian language. Dr Burgis will speak about the structure of the program including its connection to the arts and to other curriculum areas. He will mention the teaching of HSIE in Mandarin in K-2, the innovative teaching and the parent program.
