Leadership Report

This week Kindergarten Blue enjoyed their very first sports carnival. They are learning about the letter ‘A' and testing themselves by counting to five in Mandarin. They also had their first computer lesson and learnt what the school emblem means.
Kindergarten Red have also had a special week at school. They played games in P.E and read ‘Mrs Wishy Washy's Tub'. They did dot to dot with their buddies and they too have learnt the letter ‘A'.
In Year 1 Ruby they have been tracing the letters of the alphabet and making curly paper snakes. They have been reading a book about plants and growing very special bean seeds.
Year 1 Purple have also planted special seeds and have weaved caterpillars. They have done lots of maths and have also made curly paper snakes, which have been hung on string. They are learning the alphabets and have very much enjoyed the carnival novelties.
Year 2 with the lovely Mrs Arnold, have had lots of fun weaving sea horses and learning about the ocean. They have read the book ‘Space Travellers' and for show and tell they have brought in things from the past.
Year 3 have glued crepe paper onto paper hats and in maths they are learning to read the time. They have also done some dot painting.
4L had a great week and enjoyed the swimming carnival. They continued reading more of the novel ‘Because of Winn-Dixie' by Kate DiCamillo and learnt about measurement in maths.
4T also had a great week. They've been learning how to calculate area in maths, made art from gum blossoms and also been enjoyed reading ‘Because of Winn Dixie'.
5H really enjoyed their music lesson with Mr Gillies. They've nearly finished their creative designs for their art book covers and have watched educational documentaries on natural disasters for science.
5B have been creating strategies in maths to make mental calculations quicker. They enjoyed themselves at the swimming carnival and are also studying natural disasters for science.
6Green have been working creatively on their title pages and book covers. They have completed a handwriting sheet on the topic ‘Uluru' and have been reading books for the Premier's Reading Challenge.
6Yellow enjoyed spending time with their buddies doing fun outdoor activities. They learnt to do ‘scat' singing with Mr Gillies and in maths have been learning about the relationship between fractions and decimals. In computer class with Ms Chisholm they made title pages using pictures from the internet.
Congratulations Sharks on winning the most points at the swimming carnival and congratulations to all those swimmers who made it to zone!
